Corporate Social Responsibility
The Corporate Social Responsibility programme brings advanced Social Media education into regional schools to educate parents and teachers on the impacts of social media. This programme was begun in 2013 and has since brought together the five leading British entities in education and business in Slovakia: the British Council, the British International School Bratislava, the British Embassy, the British Slovak Business Centre, and the British Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic.
Main topics of this CSR project are the protection of online identity, bullying via social media, and the permanence of social media. The project presents social media best practices and encourages dialogue about how the online presence of children today will one day impact their futures. The BCCSR has received immense positive feedback from the Slovak community about this project thus far, and we are intending to ultimately adapt this programme throughout Central and Eastern Europe.
